Lyla Beth Hunter’s voice has a 3-1/2 octave range. She was a well-known soloist and sang with semi-professional groups until she received Jesus Christ as her personal savior and thus formed “The Trinity Tones” both in New York and Illinois. For four years in Illlinois she ws soloist and music leader at the Great Lakes Naval Base Worship Services to 1500 recruits in “boot” training every Sunday and also weekly she was ministering soloist at Joliet Prison, in addition to preaching and singing at several nursing homes, churches, and Christian groups in the surrounding Waukegan and Chicago area.

Lyla Beth has appeared on television in Burlington, Wisconsin, Chicago’s Channel 38 (now TLN), TCT in Buffalo, NY, CTV in Wall , PA (near Pittsburgh) and local television in Johnstown, PA and Wheeling, WV where she sang for the Ohio Valley Easter Seals live telethon for four years. She had her own evangelical radio program on the famous Jamboree station, WWVA in Wheeling and later on WRKP a Christian radio station.

Mrs. Hunter is married to Dr. John O. Hunter, a retired college president. They have four children and eight grandchildren.

In her travels, Lyla Beth has had opportunities to minister in eight countries and seventeen states. She is available for churches, television, conferences and crusades as an evangelist and/or soloist.
